Sorry About Your Luck

A Lightly Speculative Romantic Dramedy

Sometimes Luck is a Four-Letter Word

High in the Blue Mountains of Oregon, Tower Mountain Lookout is one of the last actively manned fire towers in the Pacific Northwest.

Samatta “Sam” Easton—art teacher and grief-stricken witch—plans to spend her summer reconnecting with the memory of her late parents, who manned the tower for fifteen years. But when she and her canine companion, Charlie, arrive at the isolated mountain cabin, they find a man already in her bed.

James Easton (no relation), a wayward ranch-hand and lover of damn fine coffee, is looking for a fresh start. For him, Tower Mountain is an escape from his abusive father and a chance to finally take control of his own life—alone.

Too bad the U.S. Forest Service accidentally hired them both… as a married couple.
